Garage conversions

Garage conversions are now much more feasible than in the years gone by as they are a cheaper alternative to the dearer option of a complete new extension.

Most internal garages are now redundant due to the increased size of our motor cars or the current hectic life style we leave and do nothing more than hold clutter.

Let O.B. Construction take care of all the processes needed from the the real event planning applications or Building regulations to the finished conversion.

All our tradesmen are fully qualified and work to our strict goal - to satisfy you. We incorporate all damp proofed membranes to prevent water ingress and raise any floors to the correct height, all electric work and central heating is included as well as plaster work and moulded skirting boards.

We will convert your existing garage from a cold damp space to a much needed warmer lighter room that can be used for almost anything, you can be rest assured that we will convert your garage into a habitable room for whatever th purpose and it should increase the value of your house significantly.

Your Garage Conversion will give you a massive increase of extra space with endless possibilities.

A second lounge, A home study, An office, An extra bedroom, A dining room, A home gym, A cinema room.

Part conversions
This is a conversion were part of the existing garage is left intact but kept separated from the new conversion leaving space for your lawn mower, bicycles etc .

Double garages can be divided into two parts, one section can be converted leaving the remainder to park your car in as before.

Insulation is very important to all our builds. It may be necessary to insulate the walls and roof to habitable room standards. The wall insulation thermal performance ‘U’ value should be equal to 0.35 W/m2K or greater, flat roofs to 0.25 W/m2K and pitched roof to 0.2 W/m2K. The ground floor should achieve a thermal performance ‘U’ value of 0.25 W/m2K. Examples of the types of construction that satisfy the standards can be found in the guidance notes on complying with Part L of the Building Regulations.
